Tulsa was originally slated to be included. For u12 and up. They went so far as to request 2 games on one day like every other weekend.

Obviously that didn't happen.

interesting didn't know that. If the Big 5 were going to expand it, why not include other deserving local clubs??

It is open to ECNL clubs only.  

yes, but that is an arbitrary inclusion criteria designed by the 5 clubs that put it together. That isn't some ECNL national rule or anything.

If other deserving local clubs were included, we would be back to LH D1. How dare the Big 5 associate themselves with non ECNL/independents...
