You have the roles mixed up....this demo is more likely Alejandro Villaneuva types teaming up with Trump supporters than anyone with enough courage to take a knee.soccertard wrote:Did any of these kids kneel during the National Anthem? That would be something I might report to the league.
It has been and also to their coaching staff who at least appeared to be pretty ticked but could have just been a show...

Well, based on the post by the Coach, he was pretty ticked and very sincere about the entire parents sideline being a bit overzealous. Sounds like this might be a little overblown by the parents that were in attendance and less about the coaches and players. Maybe the players were responding the parents being the way they were on the sidelines? Sounds like there's a whole lot more to this story than just how the players were playing.

Not an isolated incident for this team as a couple other parents attested to.

Was it an isoloated incident to leave out the fact that one team did not get all 4 yellow cards? Or was it deemed not important to your rant.SickofSilliness wrote:HeadHaunter wrote:Markmlg wrote:HeadHaunter wrote:Same situation a few weeks back, even called one of the AFC girls a “N” with nothing done by refs but a stern talking to! Appreciate the sentiments JE5 but no need for an apology my way my DD holds her own out there... I firmly believe coaches coach and players play with
the values and tactics their parents tolerate. I will though say as a fellow coach (b-ball) when it it comes to your “alleged behavior” comment, we know if our players in question are capable of the behavior being reported.... With that said you do seem like a straight up guy appreciate you giving your perspective on this issue.

Well, now that this has all been cleared up....Let's create a checklist for those teams who face this unfairly ridiculed and Physical team, in the upcoming LHCL season and tournaments:
1) If your daughter has braces (many of the girls do at this age), THIS is the week to practice and play with a mouth guard. You know the ones, boil, form, etc. Your daughter will receive elbows and other shots to the face and head....protect her face and teeth. We had 3 girls bleeding on their jerseys....but all in fair play. BTW....make sure if she does begin bleeding she does it quickly and removes herself from the field expeditiously....our girls took way too long, apparently.
2) Watch some hockey, in preparation for your
3) Headers. Now, you usually worry about the two opponents jumping and colliding their heads in an attempt to re-direct the ball usually in opposite directions, which has been known to cause these terrible looking collisions. Well, not this week.....when your daughter leaves her feet.....the only thing you or she should be worried about is the landing. Who knows what part of her body is going to be taken out from under her...legs swiped, "checked", or just used as a tackling dummy.
4) You may want to wait until the very end to take the lead and hopefully "WIN". From our couple of meetings, clearly taking the lead means that they are not "CHECKING" well enough and there seems to be invigorated effort to finish each and every touch from the other team....more Physically.
5) As coach so clearly defined....stay very, very quite.....making parental pleas for the referee to observe or call anything "illegal" has a tendency to cause undue stress and upsets the players, leading to more "CHECKING" and may insight fouls to be unnecessarily initiated, as a result.
6) Forwards.....I'm just sorry.....you are the equivalent of a receiver trying to score on the football field. You will be taken out, taken down from behind, cross-body "Checked", jersey grabbed/pulled, pray your pass, as you go down, doesn't come remotely close to your team mate.....you'll just get the "Play on" due to your advantage, from the referee. But hey, you'll get another chance to score.
7) Seating. May I suggest sitting down on the end line towards the exit. After all, if #5 isn't working.....you don't want to get yelled at by opposing team players or their parents...also gives you a quick get-a-way, in the case you do win.
Remember some very important things before you discard my advice above:
1) We pay for this....ENJOY IT!
2) Soccer is a contact sport....we're just introducing some cool new moves!
3) Rules, we don't need any stinking rules!
4) Why show a yellow/red card, when you'll just interrupt girls giving girls high fives. Be respectful!
5) Make sure your medical insurance premiums are paid up....just in case.
6) Bring one of those Clorox bleach pens, helps keep the blood from drying/staining their jersey.
7) Most importantly.....You've been warned!
This is soccer....have fun, enjoy the afternoon sun...your daughter is still young and will heal quickly! Always look at the bright side!

The whole concept of pass and move....not this game! Pass, pick yourself up, brush off the grass and dirt and go get in there again.
Come on. Admit it all was just a little pushing.

Re: D'Feeters Kicks Bringing the "Thug" Back to Soccer
WhatMyEyesSee wrote:Let's be clear, this Kicks team has always engaged in dirty play and the parents have always been what they are. In the Plano Labor Day tournament last year a player on this team took out a player on our team with a running, blind side shot to the back twice in the first half that probably would have been flagged on an NFL field. No call. The referee was screamed at by one of the tournament observers at half time, something apparently was said to the coach, and play cleaned up somewhat in the second half. In another tournament the parents were screaming at their players to punch the goalkeeper in the face.
The league tells the referees to let the kids play. Sometimes this is taken to extremes in no calls where unnecessary risk of injury is quite apparent. Until the league emphasizes with the referees that cards need to be pulled for dirty play, then it will continue.
As the skill levels of other teams have been raised over the years, and this team has tumbled down the rankings, I would expect their dirty play to become a greater problem over time. It is unfortunate that someone will experience an unnecessary significant injury from the actions of this team that lacks soccer skills and has unethical coaching. It will happen, it is a matter of time.
Coach - no one ever said that you teach kids to tackle with malicious intent, but to come on here and act like there was equal responsibility strains credibility.
Not the first time there have been issues with the parents on this team, won't be the last.
Hoping the coach can get his parents under control - but a reputation (which this team has) isn't established from a single incident.
