What cracks me up is all the LP posters that claim loudly that they don't share players, but...everyone knows they do, and some are even up front and admit it.
What I don't like is when LP northwest-southeastern-red (yeah..I borrowed some DT terminology there) plays in a lower level tournament and loses their first group game or is facing tough competition in the playoffs. All of a sudden, here come a few players that weren't there at the start, and gosh! they just happened to be stud players that "had a conflict with the earlier games" or something. LP goes on to be "champions" for that tournament.
Do the less skilled girls get to play in RASE games? What happens to the player that plays the position that the borrowed player plays? (ummmm...bench for the rest of the tourney). What happens to the team dynamic? Yay! we won!! (did we??...well, we got a trophy, so we must have) Meanwhile, LP claims to win every tournamnent to show "results" of their development academy....
Its masterful marketing, and they have some very skilled girls, but I am just not buying it.
Thank you!

Opinions, Opinions....everyone is entitled to theirs but I've noticed that a lot of parents seem to give a damn about what LP and their different sections have going...my opinion, worry about your own and nothing should ever matter...except eventually dethroning Rase win your dd's team plays them. These arguments being brought up by non LP affiliated parents just seem petty. But again...just being opinionated.

When did this happen or was it a scenario?

Ooooh! Ooooh! Ooooh! I know! I know! I know!...
It was obviously the last time 10sDad's DD's team played an LP team in a tournament...

Maybe secretly other parents are thinking of bringing their DD's out for LP tryouts when time for select. But there has been a influx of curiosity about what LP teams are doing. Saw one post where someone mentioned the topic starts off one way, then it turns into a RASE/Dalglish conversation... Thought that was funny..

Easy assumption to make...and slightly accurate, as it HAS happened to us. But I have seen it happen to other teams many times as well. I watch a lot of games the first day or two of a tournament to scout our bracket and other brackets as well, so I am pretty astute as to what to look for as far as stud players on teams. I have seen ringers show up starting in game 2 or 3 many times, and not just LP. It appears as though the lower level team goes into the tournament with the best intentions, but has the "guest" players on the roster just in case. When they lose their first game, or they have a match against a rival big club, the "guests" show up. If they win game 1 on their own, win game 2 against a rival big club (with the guest players) and are safely in the quarters, the guests will skip game 3, but be there again for the quarters/semis/championship.
By the championship game, the two finalists that (by sheer coincidence) happen to come from big, multi-team clubs square off with stud players that weren't necessarily there in the first few games. Seen it too many times to ignore the pattern. When one does it, the other has to follow suit, or be at a disadvantage and take a hit in your rankings. I just pray that when we go to a tournament that we get the LP/DT team in the first group game, before the studs start showing up.
Its really not that hard to figure out...and you guys think you are so sneaky. I don't blame you for doing it. You have the tools at your disposal, why not use them? I am quite happy with the team my DD is on, even if they are in the third 20 in the rankings. We will continue to go against the single-team clubs for 3rd or 5th place in these tournaments, and enjoy every minute of it. And if by chance, your DD is skilled, and is the one that "earns" her trophy from the bench when the studs come to the rescue, let me know via PM, and I will let you know where our practices are...

Well my DD loves bling so if anybody has a finals game against a lower level team that she can come knock a few goals in on go ahead and PM me. Actually if you would go ahead and post those teams so I would know where to look that would be a great help. Anybody know the protocal on that? If I am just coming in for a game I don't have to actually pay for the tournament do I? Came from texans with her coach and have a few old FCD jerseys around that should pass (I'm just saying)

Read the post again. It is not specific to our team...(I WISH we were feared like that). When they are in a must-win situation, the opponent doesn't matter. Bring in the insurance.PDub wrote:Wow.. Seems like bad luck of the draw. So I'm assuming this happens to your dd's team every tournament?

Yes, well everyone knows that LW controls the school districts and spring break schedules. In fact, I'm sure I saw a memo he put out to the school districts and private schools last year requesting that spring break occur during the scheduled RASE/Dalglish game. How he knew the exact date last year, I'll never know, but we can add clairvoyant to his repertoire of skills. All I know is that we will be having family fun hitting the slopes, game or no game. It's SPRING BREAK people!!!

Nice sarcasm. LW is the coach of both RASE and Dalglish though and whether it comes down to a rainout or not enough players to field a team due to Spring Break he alone can reschedule the game. SDL will gladly allow for a reschedule and provide the field and the referees.

What is this obsession with RASE and Danglish? Is there any other teams in 04? You would not think so if you read the 04 posts. Appears that everyone is either obsessed positively or negatively with these teams. I just do not get it, why would anyone outside of these two team care if they ever played each other? Not trying to join a side here- I just don’t get it?

I bet if someone started a thread titled "what dont u like about Rase/Daglish?" No one would reply....everyone just sitting back waiting for the first response....
