Hey, just to clarify, where are the dividers between tiers? I would have thought Dalglish was a tier 1 team, not a tier 2 team.

Busby, the first jab was thrown by you regardless of what the other post said.. I do have to laugh at the last remark you said "there is a reason that created those goals and confusion in the Dalglish defense". That's so far left, I'm going to leave it at that..

I agree, I'm just wondering why you did?
He has a tab bit of sour grapes... Applauded the win, but was quick to throw in the 2 give me goal defenseive error remark...

I'm done though, so the Liverpool gang can get back to patting each other on the back..

Sorry nothing personal either way here- I have a kid in both programs so no dog in this club fight. I just do not understand that thinking….under that logic the Denver Broncos should be Super Bowl champions if not for the “mishaps by the Broncos defense” at the end of the playoff game against the Ravens. Or another example- Man U would be moving on in the Champions League if not for the red card on Nani----oh wait that one is probably a legitimate argument.

It was always a matter of time before Busby came on here crowing about SK's recent win over an LW-absent Dalglish. If I recall NOT ONE Dalglish poster even went on this forum to gloat over Dalglish's 4-1 win over them in a tournament a couple of months back. Classy!

I believe he was trying to rebuff the notion that SK only beat Dalglish because of the new additions rather than trying to disparage the Dalglish team. Sure the new additions added to the team but which other 04 team doesn't add talent?

oh the "losses" for Kenn were players not games. It can be tough to lose players and it can have an impact on the players and overall play of the team. Will be interesting to see how the team comes together with the changes.

I am a proud parent of a DD on a team in the THIRD 20...I have LOTS of excuses...

We were in a postition to beat Danglish once...we were only down 1-0 at the half and ready to go on the attack until our keeper got thrown out for bleeding... :-)

there are always reasons for losses or giving up goals or not scoring them. You really can't give them because whatever is said will be deemed an excuse. I for one enjoy a good accurate tactical breakdown of what actually happened. It seems most do not.

Clearly in the Kenn/Dalglish game Dalglish did not keep possesion of the ball enough. Had they done that even if they had lost the score would not have been that high. Not sure whats happening at Dalglish but recently they are allowing too many goals and you can't just point to the back line for that

Serious question...not a jab towards anyone...but is not having the coach present a valid excuse? I'm seriously just asking for opinions?

I was certianly worried how our girls would respond to not have the coach there but at the end of the day players play and you must respond in the game.

I would say Yes, It's like when you had a sub in school there was always a different level of focus. There is a certain amount of respect and determination when your head coach is there, plus the part of trying to impress him.

Agree as well. More importantly, the sub coach (even provided with instructions) doesn't know the team's strengths and weaknesses in an almost infinite set of circumstances of a match, or what can truly be expected or demanded from the group. All the sub can do is manage the lineup and coach the small, technical things as every coach sees the game just a little differently than the next.

Just in case you're scoring at home......

Incase you are scoring at home 1 person needs to learn to read.

clearly states you must respond in the game. Clearly said I was worried and obviously the RASE girls did respond. It's actually your anti LP bias that has you seeing what you already had in your mind instead of what was actually written. Razz

we have had a guest come in and put girls in different positions than normal or change the actual formation. Now the older they get the more they can be set into a style and the more resistant to change they become. Now I think our girls are good but I don't think they are good enough at their style of play that coach, personnel, formation has no impact on them at all. Just I expect to see Kenn play much better later in the year. The loss of players and the addition of new players has to have an impact on 9yr olds.

A loss is a loss no matter what happens. and I think you learn more from the losses than wins anyway. Coach does have an impact at this age but if you are good enough and competetive enough you should beat the team in front of you. LW not being there was not good for dalglish but there has to be more to it than that. LW was there for the fever game and what I saw was well below the quality of Dalglish that I remeber. They did good to fight for the tie and not give up but it was well below what I expected from them.

Of course now the problem is nobody from Dalglish can come on and describe any of the issues or problems of what happened because no matter what they say you will brand it as an "excuse"

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. They're 9 years old. The parents know their full time coach knows how to get on them, where, how and when to identify what changes need to be implemented in matches to give the team a better chance of success because no one knows the team better.
Simple truth, in a massive game, not one parent would select a sub coach over their head coach. Not even the best team in the age group, RASE, as evident from above! Kids at this age still need guidance and no one can push their buttons like the gaffer.
Also never even mentioned the LP/SK match or said that's why they lost. That's something you inferred.. something you should work on!

not sure. I won't be here Sunday and I think at least a couple more may be out of town. We definitely don't have enough to field a team. A reschedule would be nice but guess we can't get girls from Dalglish so unless we can pull from some other LP team or pull up rase 05 girls I don't see how but as far as I know its not cancelled yet.
