Re: LHGCL Round 2
Looks like after all that work, there will only be 1 new team in D3 this year.

Congrats to incumbents Redstar, Kicks Blue and Aztecs for defending your turf and Strikers for bringing the new blood.
Looking forward to an exciting D3 season in LHGCL league play this year!!!

It sucks to get close and not make it but it's also a great learning process for the future. Really proud of Fusion for making it so far and getting so close!
Good luck to Strikers, Aztecs, Redstar and Kicks Blue in LH this year!

Re: LHGCL Round 2
Fusion and Infinity have PPL D1 bye.
AFC likely to be given a bye to replace NTX.

They didn't play in PPL last year.

Re: LHGCL Round 2
PPL does not use a 70% of roster rule or guideline to determine bye eligibility. They call it N+1. N being 50% of last Spring's roster. So, for example, if Aces retained 50% of the 16 they had last Spring (if they had 16 last Spring?), that being eight, they would need to have 9 of those grils still on the roster to qualify under the guideline. But, the PPL Committee retains the right to grant or not grant byes in their discretion.

Re: LHGCL Round 2
Fusion - maintains its PPL D1 BYE
AFC and Sting - should land in PPL D1 by virtue of being LH teams last year, not sure if roster comparison of last year versus this year matters, and since they both advanced to second week qualifying I would expect they are offered PPL D1 "Byes" by the league if the league has that kind of flexibility
Infinity - not sure if they would retain their bye due to the N+1 roster rule, but since they advanced to the second round of qualifying, I can see the league continue to keep a bye for Infinity.

N+1 is the standard for all PPL byes, whether it is a returning team otherwise eligible for a bye or a Lake Highland team that didn't make it through the QT. The format document says if a PPL team with a D1 bye does not return or makes the Classic league, then PPL will accept a Classic team in their place. With FCD 01G South Blue folding and NTX going to LHGCL, their would be two places for AFC and Sting if they meet the N+1 requirement.
All that said, the playing format, as it relates to byes, is subject to the discretion of the league - these are guidelines not Rules. If, either or both, AFC and Sting fail to meet N+1 roster assessement guideline, then the League still has two spots to fill and they may choose to waive the N+1 and grant them byes by virtue of the talent the demonstated at the QT, or not.
