Boom down South

From what it looks like FCD got 3- Solar got 2 and , texans got 2- not sure where others will go. Problem is another good competitive top 5 team is gone! They won't replace those girls soon enough to be very strong. I always thought South was a dangerous wild card, they weren't always consistent but when on - they could beat anyone.

I agree they were always dangerous.... but wow 7 starters. That is painful. But again, being in the south with Adames reputation and record of putting teams together, I wouldn't be to worried. There is some D2 talent around there they may be able to pull a few players from, but 7 I don't know. I may be hard for them in the Fall, but more than likely they will again have a top 5 or 6 team when it is all said and done

Anyone hear the reasoning for the mass exodus of 7 starters?

I did hear more "left"...probably a panic effect.  4 good players left so others starting panicking about the team and left also.  Sad really.  Maybe after a calm down period some will come back...maybe they haven't actually "left" but are visiting other practices as a "contingency plan" or they may find they had it good where they were and want to try to stay and rebuild a bit.  Whatever happens...hope they can keep it together.  

Big blow up at last turney! Parents fighting with each other- parents fighting with coach. Coaching hanging out drinking with parents, lost in pk's , Gabe mean to keeper, girls mean to each other, gab favoriting player- tSouth just Been together so long they getting on each other nerves. Still be together if things hadn't blown up at tourney.

maybe some will come back when they realize the grass isn't greener. DTS has always seemed to be stong group thru multiple age groups

Is it just me or does the '02 age group have more drama than all the rest? You have parents trying to start a fist fight with coaches (FWFC), you have that polaris team who abandoned their coach in middle of the night, plus several other stories I know of personally. Not to mention, who knows what else I missed since I don't read this board every day. Now you have what appears to be parents thinking 4th place D1 is not good enough for their DDs. That instead of trying to work to improve the team into being #1, that they'd rather leave what seemed to be a good thing and join a current #1 contender.

If you look at the 97 and 98 forums, they have a post a week maybe and those are of people asking questions about guest players and stuff like that. They don't have anywere near the drama that goes on here. Maybe the '02 group is full of drama and that will go on until they graduate? Or maybe the older ages also had drama at this age, and their drama parents are all gone now? I'm not sure which. I'd be interested to know if the older drama parents ran their kids into the ground and burned them out or if they just realized that it's not worth it.

Yo#10 you seem to know a lot... Why were the parents fighting with each other?How do you know he was drinking with parents? You must be a parent who left the team or a very close friend to one...

Being part of the different age groups I can say go look at the younger groups...03 and beyond ...some of those threads get crazy filled with drama...I think this time of year brings out the drama filled crazies....come fall the 02's forum will settle down...all ages have drama just some more the others .

And betting....we do alot of betting on 10 year old girls soccer. You wouldn't belieeeeeeeve the money to be made in this age group.

Heard there is problems down south, looks like that team maybe no more...03 age group come ECNL time isn't looking so bright right now for Texans.

...a top 03 moving up age groups?

Trust me, Texans will be fine come ECNL. In fact all the 5 clubs will because there will be plenty of top talent within the clubs and then from the Indy's that show up to fill those spots. The talent landscape will be pretty different in 2 years, count on it.
