As others have said, all 5 ECNL teams should be fine two years from now.  If rumors of movement are true then Solar Red will be as good as ever and Solar Gold will be stronger than last year.  Not all of the girls on those two teams will be able to go to ECNL with Solar and get quality playing time.  Same thing with Sting as both Sting G/D/USA Club and Hilton seem to be adding to their rosters.  The LP Elite families will also have a choice to make as to whether to stick together or try out for an ECNL team.  And yes, there are plenty of ECNL caliber girls playing on other squads.  I can easily think of at least one girl from Fever, Cosmos, FWFC Black, Oddessey and Sting Sanchez that would fit in nicely at the top teams.  FC Dallas, Texans and Feet might be trailing Solar and Sting (and LP) right now, but two years is a long time.

Heck - right now the one week until signing seems like an eternity.

Im thinking if things  stay the same, "We know they wont" but my guess is Sting will be the ECNL team that will rival Solar Red come ECNL time. Alot of talent sitting between all the Sting teams right now.

And your right about LP Elite do they go to Solar this year or next or do they move to Texans, Sting. Although Texans is wide open now if DTS turns out true.

LP Elite, really? Who are they? Which league do they play in? Looks like Saints would have a better chance to switch clubs over any LP team. Fever, maybe. They have a big hill to climb in order to get the respect of the top teams. But they will likely pass the Andro and FDC Renfro this fall.

Sting and Solar will be rivals in ECNL. But so will FCD and Sting, Solar and FCD, D'Feeters and Sting, Texans and Solar...more idiocy.

If FCD keeps it's top 2/3 in '02 ECNL, then that's still the team to beat. But if top ones stay '01, then the '02 ECNL crown will be Stings to loose.

02 Stark will fill in the roster just fine with the 02 DTS mess going on. Texans will be just fine come ECNL. The 03 DTS mess is what I'm intrigued about. I'm sure there is a correlation between what happened with the 02s and now with the 03s. Maybe JF (formerly Sting) can come in and save the day down south or west or wherever he ends up.

what happened to the 03 team, I thought the only lost 1 maybe 2 girls to Solar Red

I thought we were talking about the 03's? that's what I was talking about also.

DTS 02/03 update: Both teams have lost players both teams have gained players. ( I think all teams have ). Both teams have a few spots available. Both teams will be competing in Div. 1. Last thing ! There is a lot of talent down south and with good coaching.. Be careful.

 

A previous parent of DTS told me that Gabe was stepping down from DTS and his brother Sal was taking over the team. Can anyone confirm on that? I am curious to see what team he has put together.. since apparently only 1 girl stayed from the team.

Took daughter out to the DTS open tryouts and there was definitely more than 1 girl that had stayed from the previous team, I would say maybe half of the girls stayed. There was certainly quite a bit of girls trying out, don't think they'll have a problem getting a team together. Also the guy that presented himself as the coach was Sal.

Yea..... So how many actually left DTS. And how many did they end up picking up

'03's were perfectly fine and all settled well with them.

There were lots of 02's out but it was about 1/2 D1 players (some new and some players that stayed) and 1/2 that will struggle a bit in D1. They have plenty of girls but working to sort out the next step and what is best for everyone. They still have some spots so if anyone is still looking...I'd contact Sal.

How can 7-8 girls leaving from the 03 team be fine mommabear1? I think you have no idea what is going on with that team. I also don't think you know anything about the 02 team!

Yes, girls left...Then girls came. The 03 parents I talked to during 02 practice last night seemed quite happy.

Mommabear1 you have sources I have sources. My source just said they lost 10 players from last year and 8 were starters. Yes they had players come in but not the same type of players that left. DTS 03 maybe D2 after season.

I know it's hard for some folks to believe but going from D1 to D2 isn't a catastrophe. Your team blowing up the night before signing is much worse. At least they were able to keep the girls together that wanted to stay. JMHO.

You seem to know alot about other teams and since you said you were at practice this week maybe you can enlightened us.

TROPHY you seem awfully concerned about the teams demise...don't deny it because of u weren't u wouldn't keep disputing whether or not they are still in tact... Just saying..
