It was raining, but it was 4-0 at the half in favor of Premier.
I believe Mandalorian is talking about the FC Dallas Premier/DT Stark game.
My bad.... So many premiers...
But Stark is only playing LP Premier this weekend...

No shot at D 1 after this weekend. Top 13 bracket winners advance and then the next 7 in points. Week 2 is for D 3 only. In the past you could still get into D-1 in the second weekend. (anyone jump in and correct me if im wrong)

Oh that game was horrible. And no it wasn't raining, well it rained goals for a minute. As for the Guzman game, they won 2-0.

Yes, that is hilarious and original to boot. I'm the hater? Out of the 100 and some odd games this weekend, this guy picks our game against Kicks as the notable game. If you only had a clue.......

Re: 04 QT Seeding and Schedule
As far as any other top 10 teams having trouble in their last games, Im going with Sting West giving Texans South a fit, with Texans getting the win
Then lookout for a battle between Odyssey and GSSC.
Those 2 always bring a good show between them. I take Odyssey on that one
Brackets K, L and M will be some good matchups final game as well
Any predictions on those?

Is it better to play the Seeding Showdown and get a week rest before the LHGCL QT or play King TUT and have your tune up closer to the LHGCL QT?
Apparently NOT better to play the Seeding Showdown - didn't seem to impact the seeding.
My point is that NEITHER tournament helps for seeding so if you're playing it to help your seed you're playing it for the wrong reason. The only reason to play in either tournament is to prepare for LHGCL QT.
Therefore, as a tune up tournament, which tournament is a better path?
Sorry - apparently my mistake.
"This tournament is a must as it will be the primary source for all seedings in this
summer's qualifying tournaments."
Let's be real, the PRIMARY Source for seedings is the FBR - I honestly don't think LH put to much work or thought into the seedings. Seedings change because some teams don't even register for QTs and a few get moved because of conflicts but ultimately, I bet if there weren't conflicts and all teams registered for QTs, the ol' FBR would be the source of most accurate information. LH probably changes a couple here and there as well just to make it look like they put a bunch of time and energy into the whole "seeding" process... HEY! But what do I know! I've never seen a money making machine use someone else's ideas to make money or appear busy.
Interestingly,
The top 2 finishers in both brackets (4 teams) of the Seeding Tournament all recevied worse seeds than the FBR.
That's the shock factor...

IF you're referring to the Seeding Showdown then you're right that they started out with that line of BS but the LHGCL backed off that position as the tournament rolled around into a position of "one of the seeding sources". Now it's become clear that the body of work as reflected in the FBR is all that's really needed by the QT committee.
Not sure where you got your information. Mine comes from the NTSSA Seeding Showdown site:
"CCSAI Boys Classic League & Lake Highlands Girls Classic League:
We are lucky to have NTX partner with both the Boys and Girls Classic Leagues to hold a pre-season seeding tournament. This tournament is a must as it will be the primary source for all seedings in this summer's qualifying tournaments."
Yes - Tut is a tune up tournament. NTX and LHGCL can't have it both ways and now claim that the "Seeding Showdown" is now a tune up tournament (well, I guess they can ). NTX represented the above, presumably with the approval of the LHGCL.
You might want to tap the brakes there buddy. You never know who you are talking to. Might just stumble across an LH Commish.

Re: 04 QT Seeding and Schedule
That would be kinda like the Cowboys being called "America's Team", they coined that phrase themselves - how's that worked out for them over the past 10 years... LOL How about LP Sobrevalorado... I'm kidding... wish they had a pot stirring emoticon...soccerdad1969 wrote:That would be cool, but Spirit probably wouldn't like it. Have to settle for LP Numero Seis for now

I'm just waiting for someone to acknowledge the giant pink elephant sitting in the corner of the room and ask how the LP Premier parents feel about being the 3rd best LP team in the age group...

I saw that yesterday and was wondering . . . does LP Owen now become Premier and Premier move back to Dalglish? Funny stuff!

Lobo_Momma wrote:Premier and RASE both scrimmaged Owen in Arlington the weekend before King Tut in 25 minute mini-games. Owen is a tough team but scores were I believe 3-0 and 6-0 respectively. Also both teams defeated LP Barnes 03G (LHGCL DII). This might bring some perspective to some of the speculation.
So Owen Premier knocked them both off on the same day?

Also, thank you for putting it into perspective for us. This whole thing has bothered me for quite some time.

What was the score of the Elite vs Premier scrimmage (prior to Premier becoming Dalglish and Owen now becoming Premier given their higher seeding)?
Too many LP teams and Premiers out their - my head is spinning!!!
