Apparently NOT better to play the Seeding Showdown - didn't seem to impact the seeding.
My point is that NEITHER tournament helps for seeding so if you're playing it to help your seed you're playing it for the wrong reason. The only reason to play in either tournament is to prepare for LHGCL QT.
Therefore, as a tune up tournament, which tournament is a better path?

Sorry - apparently my mistake.

Let's be real, the PRIMARY Source for seedings is the FBR - I honestly don't think LH put to much work or thought into the seedings. Seedings change because some teams don't even register for QTs and a few get moved because of conflicts but ultimately, I bet if there weren't conflicts and all teams registered for QTs, the ol' FBR would be the source of most accurate information. LH probably changes a couple here and there as well just to make it look like they put a bunch of time and energy into the whole "seeding" process... HEY! But what do I know! I've never seen a money making machine use someone else's ideas to make money or appear busy.

Interestingly,
The top 2 finishers in both brackets (4 teams) of the Seeding Tournament all recevied worse seeds than the FBR.

IF you're referring to the Seeding Showdown then you're right that they started out with that line of BS but the LHGCL backed off that position as the tournament rolled around into a position of "one of the seeding sources". Now it's become clear that the body of work as reflected in the FBR is all that's really needed by the QT committee.

Maybe not an upset but a interesting game. Kicks may want a little rematch..

Re: 04 QT Seeding and Schedule
Pre-QT tournaments are about getting ready for QT. They don't, won't and never have, had a significant impact on actual QT seeding.
Every year there are surprises. The biggest surprise of all, would be if there are no surprises this year.

LHGCL has nothing to do with either the NTX Seeding Showdown (North Texas State Soccer Association) or King Tut (FC Dallas) aside from sending representatives out to watch games. Where people come up with the ideas escapes me...CBTeamworks wrote:

Not sure where you got your information. Mine comes from the NTSSA Seeding Showdown site:
"CCSAI Boys Classic League & Lake Highlands Girls Classic League:
We are lucky to have NTX partner with both the Boys and Girls Classic Leagues to hold a pre-season seeding tournament. This tournament is a must as it will be the primary source for all seedings in this summer's qualifying tournaments."
Yes - Tut is a tune up tournament. NTX and LHGCL can't have it both ways and now claim that the "Seeding Showdown" is now a tune up tournament (well, I guess they can ). NTX represented the above, presumably with the approval of the LHGCL.

LHGCL Board
Follow that link, there you will find the email addresses and phone numbers for the board of directors. Try giving your commissioner a call. Or even the president. I know at least one will answer the phone...

No, I don't believe "everything I read on the internet"
Just sayin' - NTX represented that they were partnering with LHGCL to have a "seeding tournament"

I know there are juicier things to talk about now that QT schedules posted, but just have to vent. I know the $5 parking is annoying, but I'll never complain again after our first, and hopefully last, experience at Moneygram. Don't know which was worse, the lack of parking or the one way in/out, but combined together, it was not a pretty scene. UTD can be bad, but this was something else.

It may be the other way around. Not surprised you chimed in on this one tho. Stark/Premier will be more interesting tho.

Agreed! Parking at TSC this weekend was easy - simple in-and-out, easy / multiple access points, plenty of spots, never had to hunt or wait for someone to leave.
And the fields (as usual) were in excellent condition.

I was complaining about the $5 as well, but mainly because I forgot to stop for cash. Good thing Rudy's had an ATM. Definitely the easiest in and out.

It was raining, but it was 4-0 at the half in favor of Premier.

I believe Mandalorian is talking about the FC Dallas Premier/DT Stark game.

Caught Stark's game against Guzman this past weekend. Guzman put on an offensive passing attack that Red couldnt seem to handle and Premiere has a similar style of play. Mistakes and consecutive missed passes could continue for a team who hasnt had the time to become cohesive. On the other hand, it's Stark, and he has the experience.
