Most parents on the sideline do not know anything about soccer other than the fact they are paying for thier DD to play, so that makes them experts
But the refs in this league are horrible, needs to get fixed by the league or they are going to start losing customers
Yawn.... At least he shows up on time and blows a whistle sometimes. National security matters are not at hand in 10 yr old girls soccer games - well, at least for most. A tie between teams fbr ranked within 2 points of each other WTF? The refs must have been horrible. And yes, before you type too quickly, i was there...

The ref sucked. Holy cow, the ref sucked. It's that old dude, father time, you know, the one that sees a girl that fell on her own and blows the whistle.
We've been calling him Harley Claus!

I don't think he's cool enough to ride a Harley, but I dig the name.

Good grief woman. That old ref sucks. He calls things that aren't there, misses the major calls. He sucks.

I don't know enough about motorcycles to ID them by sight, and didn't get close enough to read it, but he definitely commutes to the games on a motorcycle.
He's a nice guy, but we always dread having him ref our games.

I am in no way defending the guy. I just saying it was a well matched game that could have gone either way. The grass was too long, the ref was too old, blah, blah, blah - I think I am just sick of complaining soccer parents. Time for a forum haidas...

Re: Week 11 Results
This game sounds like any other game in NTX soccer and between these two teams a tie is a pretty good result. It's not like they aren't familiar with each other and know how to attack/defend each other. Thankfully they will get another chance to play each other this weekend at least once so maybe they can play without the crazy prospector as a ref and some team can get the result they think they deserve.

GrandTXSoccer wrote:I've always found that the teams that complain the most when they lose or tie are the teams that traditionally don't stay together long (not targeting anyone in this thread, just a general observation). Reason being is that those parents generally have such high expectations for their team that can most of the time never be met that they are always eager to look for greener pastures. Just look around at teams you've been on or are currently on and look at the people that have left, I'd venture to guess 75% of the time it's because they believe their DD is better and should be playing a team that is winning more (they won't say that, they will throw out some BS about development but in reality it's about their superstar DD being on a winning team).

No kidding, some parents think their team should be undefeated..always. No team is like that and sometimes losing is beneficial. Winning hides deficiencies in your game and losing exposes them causing you to address them. And yes some parents think their little mia hamm should never come out or not start or be benched for poor play. I feel sorry or their kids...

What's up with the six-inch grass three weeks in a row? It's like playing soccer on the beach out there.
