unfortunately 3v3 leaves a lot less to chance than 9v9. nowhere to hide. can't really park the bus. the good teams beat the pretty good teams 12-2.
maybe Rase needs to take on the Y chromos.

They have been prior to the last 3v3 from what I understand.

Which RASE girls will play on the RASE team? Even though they are all great players, not all RASE players are created equal either. They have a few super players (e.g. the ex-Odyssey player) and a lot of really strong, athletic players from what I have seen.
Having seen a lot of these teams play over the past year, RASE should be the team to beat. At the same time, when shots aren't falling and with a little luck, anything is possible - especially when it is 100 degrees outside. Will be tough conditions for everyone, especially 9 year old girls. I have seen the Dalglish team and Cobra Kai play great ball, and Galaxy has really hit its stride. Should be the best 3v3 my DD has played in yet, as far as competition. Now if us parents can just all get along!
BTW - my DD plays for Honey Badgers, so my money is on them

Hopefully our little inexperienced 3v3 team won't get too bad of a beat down starting with our 2:00PM game tomorrow.

More like playing on the face of the sun and for those fortunate enough to end up in the play-offs or finals, they'll actually get the opportunity to play truly "under the lights" amongst the lovely nighttime bugs... bug spray will be huge for the later games.

How did the Honey Badgers fair in this one?
Anyone heard results? Sorry worked all day and missed the live feed...

Didn't pay to much attention to the Gold brackets but it looked like Neon Tigers and K-RASE-Y were playing for the Finals...
Silver division Galacticos beat The Usual Suspects for the win (7-2 I think)... Not sure why Galacticos was in the Silver division though, they were definitely not Silver division material. They should have been playing in the Gold for sure - they put the wood to everyone in the Silver division - games weren't even close - finals were as close as it got for competition for them.

There was an incident between Danglish and Cobra in the semis, Danglish won by a large margin and some parents didn't appreciate the "over celebrating"... did anybody there know what happen???

Think there's bad blood between these two teams, it happens in every age group. Just heard that the RASE team pretty much dominated and won it, no surprise there.

There were a lot of things that went on - some parents interpret things as they think they see them when in reality it's just that winning and losing creates drama. That drama then carries over to the parents and then it becomes more than it should be. Several parents had problems with other coaches, ref'ing and even the way some players played the game. The reality, if it's not called, it's not a penalty and play resumes. That's just the way it goes. And in 3v3 they are more liable to let the kids play than to call the ticky tacky penalties. When kids cry because they can't win, parents get heated and say stuff that isn't necessary creating friction - happened in two of our games and witnessed it happening in several others. We were upset at some weird and inconsistent calls but overall those calls would not have changed the overall outcome of the game so we sucked it up and lived with it. Had it been a tie game and the winning goal was decided on those calls, might have been different. All in all I think it was a great weekend for 3v3 Soccer - kids had a blast and many got to see that juggernaut they call RASE play their game to perfection. They do put on quite a display of decision making and skills out there. Even the tougher teams would wear down and the floodgates would open.
Congrats to all the teams that placed in the top 3 of each division!!!

They defeated Fever 03 and SRSA 03 teams in their last win so I think y'all might not know them well enough.
With the risk of sounding like a sore loser, I wasn't that impressed. Nice players, but we'll be more prepared next time.

I'm going to assume RASE cause the words "sore loser" were used in that statement and RASE never lost a match so likely they meant they weren't that impressed with RASE.

The most glaring difference I saw between RASE and other teams, RASE never missed shot opportunities - they were very accurate with their shots and were pretty crisp with their passing. A couple teams seemed to be able to keep up physically but just couldn't seem to find the net to put numbers up and that wasn't due to a prolific defense or anything, just inaccurate shots, cause teams had opportunities to score, just couldn't find the net.

Well you were impressed enough to proclaim one of them the best player in the 04 age group in a previous quote! Would be interested to know which team you are associated with cos I heard they killed everyone.

What???? I was agreeing with your statement - read what I wrote again and then get back to me... I was putting his statement into perspective as you were asking which team he was talking about - based on his use of words I was assuming it was RASE and he was associated with one of the Odyssey teams.
