ah yes that looks pretty good. But now it needs to be soaked in the sacred waters at blue sky and then laid out to dry on the anfield gates

I can see the water, but anybody that leaves something outside of Anfield will soon find that it has disappeared.

Ok fellas, this conversation is getting real sappy. Enough of the RASE love fest before someone gets pregnant. On another note anyone know whats going on over at the Lady Aztecs? I heard they lost two of their better players and a couple of more are riding the creshendo of an impending implosion. Does anyone care to shed some light on the subject?

Evidently, Dalglish if they have 20+ at practice. I think I saw 1 or 2 subs the last time we played them.

It probably could be assembled...the right marketing pitch...there are teams with good players who are looking to be new stars in new places. Parents are vulnerable this season and coaches are sitting on pins and needles trying to secure players they already have...hoping they dont decide to test the waters. Maybe the mere mentioning of SRSA as the name of this team would get some of those vulnerable parents "moist"....

(disclosure: my dd a few years from this, so learning about this now to know how game is played)

It's not impossible to start a team right now and think they could make DI but he'd have to pretty much take over an existing team and then cherry pick a few players. Building something from scratch would be much more difficult. I know they tried it last year in the 03's but could get it to take, but that didn't start until late May or June.

It would be fun to watch though. Generally what you get in these situations would be disgruntled parents who want their DD to be a superstar and/or dilusional parents who think their DD is the next Alex Morgan yet the DD would rather stuff her face and watch reruns of Good Luck Charlie on Disney.

Was the updated results for Primetime U10 Silver posted yesterday, 3/5, used for the latest FBR? The previous results had the Cosmos 04 vs. FC Dallas Predator game from Feb. 23 wrong. Cosmos 04 won that game 2-0.

It can be done, but to be realistic, how well will the team mesh, is to be told. There is difference between getting the top players off a team vs. getting the middle of the road players off a team. Not all players are Stars but you have to have enough talented players to void the gaps. Out of 14 players (min required for LHGCL), 6 to 7 players need to be above average, my opinion, to be a contender. I'm sure if you jump for greener pasture you want to be on a contender not back to the middle of the pack. Then why make the jump in the first place?? If CP or JS manages to get enough above average players, then noise can be made.

Im sure a few will say, "Well she could start on this new team if she wasn't getting playing time on her old team". We'll there is a reason you have starters and bench players. Just because you jump ship doesn't magically make you a New Star, but a different Coach can have adverse affect ..

Solar tried this last year with the 03s and failed. I don't see too much traction in this one either. It's really an almighty gamble for parents to take given many kids have been with their teams for at least a year or two and have team chemistry and kids are settled.
There could be a chance to pick off a bench player here or there but I seriously doubt it would be a better team than Barnes with that tactic.
Parents would also have to wonder about a club that has virtually ignored this age group for a year and then wants too come in with 3 months left and finally do the work. Very unprofessional in my view.

But weren't you the one who tried to take several of the RASE girls over to Pulp a few months ago? Or was that SoftballMom?

Ignored?  Or just didn't have a coach to take on or start a new team?  If a coach leaves an organization and takes his team, the club may not have a coach to start up a brand new team in the age group.  If it was really only a year, that's not that bad.  How long has it been and what happened to leave that hole?  There are age gaps in several of the area clubs.

If memory serves, there was Solar Kenn (LFS Black), Solar Mata-Kenn (LFS White), and Solar Chelsea Armstrong at this time a year ago. We know where the LFS teams are, but what happened to Armstrong? They were playing SDL Platinum last spring. There was also Solar Red Crushers, but don't know who the coach was. I think they were playing Primetime Silver on Sundays.
