How about Juventus, what the heck happened to that club?

i remember i wanted my DD to play with Keegan....i thought they were the truth U8....knew nothing about Solar Kenn or Rase back then....just Keegan and Dalglish....oh, and Piper.

I think you are correct. He disappeared right after RASE played Solar Kenn (LFS now). It broke him so bad, I believe he vowed never to speak again and take the sword to the gut like a true samurai swords man..

It can be done, but to be realistic, how well will the team mesh, is to be told.  There is difference between getting the top players off a team vs. getting the middle of the road players off a team.  Not all players are Stars but you have to have enough talented players to void the gaps.  Out of 14 players (min required for LHGCL), 6 to 7 players need to be above average, my opinion, to be a contender.  I'm sure if you jump for greener pasture you want to be on a contender not back to the middle of the pack. Then why make the jump in the first place??  If CP or JS manages to get enough above average players, then noise can be made.

Im sure a few will say, "Well she could start on this new team if she wasn't getting playing time on her old team".  We'll there is a reason you have starters and bench players.  Just because you jump ship doesn't magically make you a New Star, but a different Coach can have adverse affect ..

Agreed that it will be very difficult to build an LHGCL caliber team, let alone a D1 Supergroup level team at U11, by starting this late in the ballgame and picking up 1 or 2 players from here or there. You're just not going to pick up 8 or 9, let alone 14 D1 or D2 level talents that way, this late in the game. The majority of the true D1/D2 level players are already integral core players on their current team, and won't be leaving for a startup at this point.

HOWEVER, what is possible, and has happened in the past, is that a top 20 team could implode, or a core group of at least 5-6 players from a top team could decide to "defect" as a unit. If there is such a group that is currently growing disenchanted with their current team situation, knowing that Solar/Pulp and Rush/Stark are out there as potential club/coach choices for an '04 team, it could be viewed as a very viable option for such a group. You get a core of at least 5 players from a current top 20 team that makes a move in unison... now you're in business.

In the end, a lot of it will come down to geography and personalities...

a new team will emerge after spring break....watch...

WOW - Got 2 emails and 3 phone calls from people referring me to this thread. Not sure how jsullivan81 would even know who my kid is and that he/she has ever seen her play. But i know about 90 to 95 percent of people watching an 04 Girls game that she was playing in would disagree. Had to say my 2 cents.

And notice i mentioned 04 Girls - Not the brackets RASE play in - If you have seen her play for RASE she hasnt done bad but hasnt been a game changer. She is still finding her feet on this team. So well see if this truly works out. If it doesnt she made new friends and got to practice and play with and for an awesome team.
