Plano Labor Day 06G Accepted List

Hated to see that loss today, but the two finalists were from group 3.

JM was up 2 goals on TSC with less than 10 left in the game. Just couldnt close it out. It was 3-1 inside the second half vs Sting Black, and 0-0 well into the second half with SRSA... despite someone feeling JM isnt as skilled as others I bet the teams we played saw plenty of skill. Ill take it.

I had the opportunity...I should say pleasure of watching 2 '06 games today and I (along w/ my girls 00/03 and son) was floored with the skill level I witnessed at the u9 age group. If this group is what the future holds then the rest of the soccer world needs to be put on notice because NTX won't be void of double digit starters on top 10 college teams and starters (not just pool players) at the u17 and above WNT for too much longer.

The parents and coaches at Sting Black and Kicks Selaco and Solar Red Colvin should be commended. There is a lot of talent on those teams and likely others that I haven't seen.

Major props to Sting Black for winning what I hear and saw as a star studded tournament and a ridiculous draw. There were more than a couple of occasions today where I slapped my son in the back (a bit too hard) saying did you see that....she is 8!

Older age groups/parents if you haven't witnessed one the aforementioned teams play then take a chance to do so. It was my first time watching an '06 game and I'm telling that was crazy to see! If you really want to make your daughter feel bad or challenge her a bit then take her to a Sting Black or Kicks Selaco game and tell her they are 8 or 9....makes you wanna work on your skills.

I got 2 out of 3 correct. Wish I had 1 out of 3. Oh well. Great weekend!!!

Hello my DD plays for Selecao 06 girls and I want to thank you (outonthelimb)for your very kind words not only about our DD's but about all of the DDs and their 06 girl teams. Echoing out on the limb's words: OMG! I had so much fun watching Sting Black and Kicks games this weekend. Just Wow! My DD (01) was reffing all weekend and was blown away by the skill and soccer IQ of the 06's. I just hope the future for these teams is filled with fun and challenge to continue to get better and better. Enjoy the ride!

Do not want to pour gas on a fire that was/is/has been brewing, but for the record, Kicks canceled first. Sting was never notified and found out by a parent looking online the Thursday before the Sat game. Sting Black was ready to play as originally scheduled. Net, I struggled understanding the post. So, it would be hilarious if your team forfeited.

I want to be very clear, I have Zero beef with Coach JM, his players or his parents. They are an AWESOME team and I have nothing but the utmost respect them. In fact, I think they are one of the best academy teams of all time.

IMO, Sting Black has a long way to go to and will have a tougher road to cover to Selecao worthy recognition. For me, I hope that the parents can stay cordial and just enjoy two very strong teams. There is really no need to start drama.
