Fall 04 Rankings - Week 3

Big team!!! Got to go for the win!!

Any of the Kennington or Dalglish girls going to be missing for the big game? We can all get the excuses in beforehand.

w/5 Games Left on the Schedule, we Should Go No Worse than 4-1, to Finish w/a .500 Record...Maybe Even 5-0!!!...Everybody Else is Gonna LOSE to Solar, the Rowdies & Rosales as Well, so we Still have a Good Chance @ Finishing 4th Place in SDL, which is a Pretty Good Achievement, Considering the Level of Competition...

This team went undefeated and won Blue Sky Allen Indoor Championship this summer. Hopefully, they will play the Thanksgiving Tourney and see how they match up to the top teams.

The Sting team is very good, and I'd like to see all of the teams play the Thanksgiving event. PSA has some up and coming teams as well.

Wanted to throw this out before a new rankings thread starts this week... I saw LP 04G Beardsley play a sister LP 03 team this past Sunday in EAL action (my older DD plays on the 03 team). While Beardsley lost 2-1 they played BEAUTIFUL soccer against bigger and in some cases faster girls. This team's strength is their ability to play wide and pass which they do very well on a bigger field playing 9 v 9. It was very fun watching them play.

TBGsoccer, since there is really no real formula for these rankings at this age... feel free to start this weeks rankings thread with your take on it. Obviously this is all in fun and a good way to get people talking, debating, etc.

As an aside, I was recently reminded of how at least some of our kids look at soccer... while we were driving I was asking my 05 DD to explain the offside rule and other tactical stuff. After my oral exam she asked me why we don't have snacks anymore after games like her rec team did. I just smiled and quickly came back down to youth soccer earth.

So while we parents (and I assume several coaches) like to debate rankings and such in the end this is truly all about little girls who love to play the beautiful game of soccer with their good friends.

My '05 is the same way, she stopped asking for snacks a long time ago (She packs her own... you should see her soccer bag), but does work me over for stops at QT/sonic/7-Eleven post game/practice and usually tries to get some of her friends to tag along with her.

for mine its who is riding to practice with us? oh and can we get a shake from sonic afterwards?!
