As Unc has said, all games aren't complete; however, Loco has posted a link to the bracket with seedings that are complete on the top-right on the home page of www.sportsmobility.net

In addition to those games he is showing, Mansfield Timberview will play Grapevine in the first round and Mansfield Legacy will play LD Bell given last night's results.

Loco's info is with @ 13 games and Duncanville @ 11 anyone know results of these games?
I think you meant Timberview, not Legacy based on the games you had listed and the district standings to date...Duncanville beat Timberview on the 21st 1-0. That game has now been updated on Loco's site. Key game still missing (nowhere to be found on the world wide web... Duncanville's game at Cedar Hill on 2/28/12). Anyone????

Right Timberview, Thanks

Based on that result, Duncanville's game against Cedar Hill tomorrow night (3/27)will round out their district schedule and has the chance of knocking Timberview out of the playoffs altogether (if they aren't already based on 2/28 result). Duncanville has tiebreak since they beat Timberview both times 1-0.

Ok MyDuncanville.com 3/5/2012 has it Duncanville 7 Cedar Hill 1

And every time I think of bandcamp.....well, you know.

By chance, did you get a badcramp at bandcamp?

I'll update on Loco's site with that result. That means (if I'm calculating correctly) that Duncanville is already tied with Timberview and with the tiebreak has already made playoffs regardless of tomorrow night's game (and conversely Timberview has been knocked out).

Actually, looks like 4th place in 5-5A was/is Duncanville instead of Timberview. Timberview is currently tied with Duncanville, but Duncanville has won both head-to-head games and has one more game tomorrow night against a team they beat easily the first time (Cedar Hill).

I still dont know the 7-5A tiebreaker. One of the coaches thought it may just be a coin flip. That would be too bad for Carroll as I would think they would have just about any tiebreaker that would come into play.

I think a tie by Guyer will be all they need to advance and give Ridge the title.

It the teams tie are they considered co-champions and the tiebreaker is only for seeding?

Split, and shared a district championship. After we've played Fossil Ridge, I'm more concerned with whether our girls suffered any injuries from cheap shots and late slide tackles than if we won.

Fossil Ridge and Carroll will play on Saturday. Both teams have to agree to a coin toss. Only the Ridge coach wants that. The Carroll coach and team want to play. I am guessing the Ridge players would want to play as well.

Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I forget that girls from Fossil Ridge were such dirty players with all the "cheap shots" and "late slide tackles" Very Happy Very Happy ...because there is now way SLC could have lost to a better team??....whats your excuse for losing to Coppell??

I doubt Unc knows if the Ridge coach is worried about injuries. I think both teams have to have some concerns about injuries but the difference is 1st or 2nd seed for the playoffs appears to be big. It is not just the difference in playing the 3rd or 4th place team from 8-5A but the next round would appear to be easier as they would play the winner of a 2nd and 3rd place team.

It is too bad this is the tiebreaker for the district. There are so many other tiebreakers that could have been used like was listed previously. These would almost all favor Carroll but I think most unbiased outsiders would agree they are a better option than risking injury with another game or taking your chances with a coin flip.
I agree with the 3 or 5 goal limit so you dont encourage running up the score. I would also put goals against before goals scored for the same reason.

Congrats to both teams and lets hope the game is clean with no injuries. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs as well as Coppell and KELLLER.

Another problem I see with the playoff game is it gives the 8-5A teams a perfect chance to come out and scout both teams as they prepare to play each other. I am sure the coaches have made their rounds but now it gives the players a chance to come out.

The 13-0 score could have been much worse. It is my understanding that Carroll played with 10 the 2nd half because Saginaw was down a player from a handball by the last defender (looked like she was playing v-ball). As mentioned previously, it was sr night and there we attempts to get a goal for some of the players who had not scored. Nobody likes these types of games and why there is a need for a limit on goals in any tiebreaker scenario.

Keller came out to play in their last game against Ridge. They knew they had to win and did just that. I know that game was rather chippy as well.

How many girls on Ridge are from the old Wild Girls team?

Yes, 8-5A teams will be scouting I'm sure...but no different really than the teams from 7-5A that were inexplicably "idle" the last week of the regular season and that had time to do scouting last Friday and Tuesday at 8-5A games. Flower Mound vs. Plano West game had a large contingent of 7-5A teams, coaches and players in attendance. Sure seemed like a district 7-5A ploy to wait until last minute to finalize their games so their teams could potentially "select" their competition for playoffs based on games already finished. Well within the rules I suppose, but it did seem a bit contrived...oh well... "all is fair in love and war", right?
