From Waco to Farmer's Branch 2-3 times a week for a sport that allows little to no opportunity for women post college??? What is wrong with these people?

Soccer Addiction is powerful...
Some would say, "What, you pay $2,000 or $7,000 yr for your dd to play a sport that allows little to no opportunity for women post college??? What is wrong with these people?"
I don't understand the driving about 2 hours each way 2-3 times a week, but this is where great girls soccer is played.

Since we're so way off topic....Texas veterans may use the Hazelwood Act. I just found out that you can pass your unused hours on to your kids. It's good for 150 credit hours tuition at any state university!!!

I have been in Texas for 28 years. Does that make me a Texas veteran?

I am a veteran of the Dallas Texans? If I have unused service tournament service hours do those qualify? Player Movement Coming into U16? - Page 5 Icon_lol

PS I am very glad to here that veterans can pass along hours to their children. Seems like the right thing to do.

Thanks for keeping us off target. That makes me feel better since the college tuition money is being "invested" in soccer. Glad I used the GI Bill to pay for my college and have all 150 credit hours left over.

Will there be enough player movement to where we will see a team really benefit and Rocket up the Standings with good additions?
It is much easier to see Teams drop like a Rock with the loss of several players...

If so, who has the most potential? Can the Top 4 be shuffled? Can a team break into the Top 4?
I focus on DI because everyone's trying to get there right?

DII, I doubt anyone really knows with 4 new teams in the Division.

DIII, I saw 2 strong Teams that were left behind, and could build quickly...

... that is why player movement is so very important and June should be interesting.

My question regarding the strong D3 and D2 teams left behind would be now that these girls are approaching the final years of club are they getting impatient ? Do they see their current team as the favorites to move up next year or do they bail and find a team already in a higher division w/o the wait or gamble ?

D1 has been mathematically eliminated for Plano and Arlington teams that don't do well at QT at this point.

It's not just Texas veterans. It's veterans who were residents of Texas at time of entry, or who entered the service in Texas. Crying or Very sad

You're correct. They don't offer it to any of those NE coast states because of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

Texans: Don't see anyone leaving for a better opportunity and they are in a pretty good position to add a few top players from other teams.

Only team with shot to dethrone Sting (even with last weekend's drumming), and this was Texans first loss to Sting since May 2008. The only team from N Tx that is undoubtedly going to the national championships.

Just looking to get some discussion going ... must have hit a nerve re: your favorite team.

Still feeling confident that no players are leaving? Too small of a soccer community and word get's out quickly when players leave and get picked-up in JUNE.

Looks like Feet and Texans swapped 1 player each.

Respect the decision and wish them luck, but I was definitely surprised ... obviously playing time is a huge motivator ... even if losing the opportunity to go on key recruiting stage of Regionals and Nationals (great player and we will miss her).

Heard Feet lost one to Sting. Also heard Feet picked up several from Revolution ... anyone have a body count? 3?

Curious 5 years after going select at U11 ... how many will each of the D1 U16 teams have from there original U11 crew?

Texans still have 8 from original U11 crew.
Sting still has ... 8 ... ???
Solar has ... 6 ... ???
Feet has ... 4 ... ???
Rev ... Few
N Tx U ... ???
Solar Red ... None
ASG ... 1 ... ?
Tejanos/Sting W ... ???

So from what I hear ...

Sting picked up 1 mid from Solar and 1 defender from Feet.
Texans picked up 1 mid from Feet.
Feet picked up 1 forward from Texans.
Feet picked up 3 players from Revolution.
Did Rev lose some to Lonestars too?
Will N Tx U be able to keep its players at home?

From Texans ... no

To Texans ... maybe

Regionals wouldn't affect Feet, Rev, Solar or N Tx U as they aren't going ... if folks were going to defect from these teams, my guess is that you would already know it.

Hey, let's call it the"Older and Wiser Club" or something like that. I don't like the "Old Farts Club" there just isn't quite the ring I'd prefer there...
