Pulp 6-3 over Abbott. We rarely see that many goals at U9 platinum. It must have been an entertaining game.

Some great games so far this weekend in COPA. Sting Black showing they are a great club. Down 0-1 at halftime to Bellatores and rallied back to take a 2-1 lead midway through the 2nd half. Added 3 late for solid 5-1 win.

Another great match this morning with TSC and Bellatores, ending with a 1-0 Tulsa win late in 2nd half. Great soccer being played.

Looking forward to seeing the Sting Black/TSC outcome.

Solar Pulp is a strong team. Lost a few games lately.. But a true great roster. I think they will play Kicks North in the final. Will be a good one. Solar Pulp wins because they have a strong defense. Not easy to score on.

I heard about a kid punching a kid and a parent going crazy and cussing out the parents that her DD punched. Is that really true or BS?

Big congrats to all the girls for braving the near freezing temps. All of these girls should be proud of themselves. They deal with 100+ temps in the summer and bitter cold in the winter.

The red is true... But the parent cussed out the entire sideline...

It was so bad and so blatant there was no way to not throw the straight red. Happened 10 ft from us. And 5 ft from the ref.

Sad the way her coached defended the play... But to be expected from that guy.

Kicks North won the championship against Solar Pulp (2-0). The Solar team played very well and is a strong team. Congrats to them.

Man was it cold, wet, windy and hey everyone finished before it started snowing! Great weekend, great girls and parents, minus a few bad apples. Too bad that some girls/parents think that flat out shoving and pushing another girl to the ground is how you should play, let alone punching a girl in the back. We saw a girl hell at the ref in one game, and one parent yell out, "break their ankles, "go for the ankles". Seriously? This is u9 girls soccer, not u9 MMA. The talent in thia area for U6 is off the charts.

So, player red carded for throwing a punch played in the finals of tourney.

Should she have been??

Same kid took another down in the finals.

Coach wouldn't even hand out trophies... Left.

Trash any way you shake it... Sad.

NTX laws... So did tourney director look into the card... And is one game enough for a punch being thrown...

Great job Kicks North, Solar White and Infinity. Some good soccer played. Too bad a few bad situations happened. Hopefully the players and parents can grow from there experiences!

TSC played Sting Black for Finals. TSC led late in the game and Sting put in a goal with about 3 minutes to go. Went to PK's and Tulsa won 5-3. Overall a good tournament. I was told that the COPA tournament was better than the NTFC? Very cold weekend.

Interesting take on things...

NTFC had 29 teams...
Copa had 4 teams....

It was a 2 team tournament at Copa... I guess you have to justify what you spent right.

My DD is lucky to have great solar coaches in her life like Casey Mays, Jesse Llamas and Matt Colvin in her development. Honored to have my DD surrounded by those guys!
